ORMISTON Primrose have appointed Mark Smith as their new manager.
The East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) side travel on Saturday to Linton Hotspur sitting bottom of the Third Division table.
Smith, who worked alongside former Preston Athletic manager Jack Lynch at Whitehill Welfare, is looking forward to taking on the new challenge.
He said: “This opportunity is one that really excites me and I am delighted to be here.
“The set up at Ormiston is really impressive and is something that really attracted me to the job!
“Football at this level is all about enjoyment and you get that from winning games of football.
“It’s been a tough season so far but I am confident things will improve!”
Smith succeeds Guy Kerr at the helm of the New Recreation Park side.

Kerr left after Ormiston lost out 3-0 at home to Livingston United earlier this month.
The East Lothian club have only played one game since then – a 5-1 defeat to the same opposition.
A statement on the Whitehill Welfare website wished Smith well.
It reads: “Whitehill Welfare can confirm that assistant manager Mark Smith has left the club with immediate effect, having been offered the manager’s role at Ormiston Primrose.
“Smithy joined The Welfare as Jack’s assistant in September 2022 and stepped in as interim manager during Jack’s recovery from a heart scare.
“We would like to thank Smithy for his time with the club, and we wish him all the best in his new role at Ormiston.”
