DUNBAR United and Musselburgh Athletic progressed in cup competitions while Haddington Athletic picked up three points in a mixed bag of results over the weekend.
The Seasiders travelled to University of Stirling on Friday night and came through their East of Scotland Qualifying Cup tie by the odd goal in three.
The hosts had taken the lead midway through the first half through Finlay Moffett but the scores were level before the break through Liam Gregory.
Grant Thomson’s effort eight minutes after the restart proved decisive as Dunbar knocked out their Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL) opposition.
On Saturday, Haddington finished the first half of their East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) Premier Division campaign with victory over Edinburgh University.
An Aaron Ewins goal 12 minutes from time proved the winner and puts Haddington fourth in the table.
Elsewhere, in the South of Scotland Challenge Cup, Bo’ness United and Musselburgh Athletic served up a seven-goal thriller.
Bo’ness had opened the scoring through Tom Grant in the first half before the visitors fought back in the second half.
Nicky Reid found the equaliser on 67 minutes and Musselburgh were celebrating when Aiden Walsh found the net six minutes later.
However, Grant scored his second of the afternoon with three minutes left to send the tie to extra time.
Gabri Auriemma put Musselburgh in front for the second time before Lucas Stenhouse quickly equalised.

It looked like the game would go to penalties but Nathan Evans popped up with a winner in second half stoppage time.
Preston Athletic also faced an away tie in the competition as they travelled to Kirkintilloch Rob Roy, who proved too strong.
First half efforts from Jordan Pirrie and Adam Kettings had the hosts 2-0 up at the interval.
That lead quickly grew as Pirrie grabbed his second of the game just seconds after the restart.
However, Preston showed they were not out of it when Kris Renton pulled one back.
Strikes from Shaun Kennedy and another from Pirrie saw Rob Roy extend their advantage before Renton pulled one back for Preston late on.

Finally, Tranent’s bid for the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup was ended by Hill of Beath Hawthorn.
Goals from Dan Watt and Sam Featherstone had the EoSFL side in charge at the half time interval.
Watt was on target after the break and an own goal meant Tranent were 4-0 down before Danny Handling scored a consolation.
