PODIUM places, including a first place, were the reward for Craig Wallace after a good weekend’s work at Cowdenbeath Racewall.
A rain shower did not impact the Formula II star’s bid for glory as he performed well.
In the Champion of Champions race, the Haddington ace finished in 10th after being delayed in a shunt at the start to the race.
He was then third in both of his heats and, when the final started, was soon making inroads through the field.
Just at the half distance, he appeared in the lead but next time round he was in second.
As the laps dwindled, he was unable to climb back into the lead and lost another spot to come home in third.
Wallace also led the Grand National for a good few laps but, agonisingly, lost out on the run-up to the flag and was pipped at the post and had to settle for the runner-up spot.
On Sunday, the weather was dry until the Formula II final, the last race of the season, when it rained.
The opening Formula II race was the Grand National Championship, where Wallace ended in ninth and he repeated the result in the opening heat.
He was then eighth in heat two but, in a wet final, he was uncatchable and just drove away from the field to record an easy win.
Kyle Rogerson (Tranent) was amongst those racing in the Ministox, where he was third in heat one but was not classified in heat two.
He had an adventurous time in the final, where he was spun out, restarted and then spun again and, as a result, was not classified.
