ATTENTION is split between league and cup games this afternoon (Saturday).
Haddington Athletic and Ormiston Primrose are looking for three points at home with Tynecastle and Lochgelly Albert visiting.
Meanwhile, county sides are looking to progress in three cup competitions.
Tranent continue their run of away fixtures when they tackle Petershill in the Scottish Junior Cup while Dunbar United welcome Bonnyrigg Rose in the East of Scotland (City) Cup.
Finally, Musselburgh Athletic host Kirkcaldy and Dysart while Preston Athletic welcome Girvan in the South Challenge Cup.
All games kick off at 2.30pm.
Match of the Day
Preston Athletic v Girvan
South Challenge Cup – Round Three
MORE than 100 miles separates Girvan on Scotland’s west coast from Prestonpans.
There is also plenty of difference in football with Girvan currently sitting in the fourth-tier of the West of Scotland Football League.
Preston Athletic would appear to be favourites for the South Challenge Cup tie but then cup competitions always produce shocks.
If Stevie McLeish’s men approach the game in the correct manner, they should have enough to go through.
Musselburgh Athletic v Kirkcaldy and Dysart
South Challenge Cup – Round Three
ANOTHER team out to avoid a cup shock are Musselburgh Athletic.
Second in the top tier of the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL), they will be heavily fancied to make it through to round four.
Their opposition, who have not played Musselburgh since their switch to the senior ranks, sit in mid-table in the First Division.
Musselburgh will be out to ensure progression and keep up their impressive form.
Petershill v Tranent
Scottish Junior Cup – Round Three
AWAY days have become something of a theme for Tranent in recent weeks and they are back on the road today.
A trip to Petershill Park and the chance to reach the fourth round of the Scottish Junior Cup is on offer.
Tranent have bounced back from their Scottish Cup shock and will be keen to make it three wins in a row.
Dunbar United v Bonnyrigg Rose
East of Scotland (City) Cup – Semi-final
A MUCH-NEEDED win at Edinburgh University last weekend should have restored some confidence in the ranks at Dunbar United.
They face an intriguing tie this afternoon when they welcome League Two’s Bonnyrigg Rose.
Ninety minutes separate both clubs from a place in the final and the chance to lift a trophy.
Can Dunbar pick up another impressive victory?
Haddington Athletic v Tynecastle
East of Scotland Football League Premier Division
A 7-1 DEMOLITION of Luncarty last weekend will have undoubtedly boosted morale in the home dressing room at Millfield.
However, their home form has not been their strength this term and they have not won at home since the opening day of the season.
Tynecastle have not had their own troubles to seek and have only enjoyed victory once in the league this campaign.
A repeat of last week’s performance will surely be enough to give Haddington all three points.
Ormiston Primrose v Lochgelly Albert
East of Scotland Football League Third Division
LEAGUE leaders Lochgelly Albert make the trip to New Recreation Park looking to extend their advantage at the top of the table.
They sit six points clear of Hawick Royal Albert after nine games and with double the points tally of their hosts.
However, it is congested below the league leaders and a home win would push Ormiston Primrose up towards the promotion places.
