ROSS Muir is one match away from securing his place at the English Open.
The Musselburgh snooker star is through to the second round of qualifying after his opponent, Brazil’s Jonas Luz, withdrew from the event.
Muir will face England’s David Lilley at Brentwood Leisure Centre on Saturday evening.
The two players have never met and Lilley, like Muir, lost out at the Saudi Arabia Masters earlier this month.
The main section of the competition takes place from Monday.
