FRANCESCA McGhie has been named in the Scotland squad ahead of WXV 2.
The national squad travel to Cape Town at the end of the month to face Italy, Japan and Australia in the competition.
Scotland Women head coach Bryan Easson has named a 30-woman squad, including four uncapped players, for the tournament.
Before then, Scotland face Wales at Edinburgh’s Hive Stadium on Friday (September 6) before taking on Fiji at the venue on September 14.
McGhie, of Musselburgh, made her international debut two years ago against England in the TikTok Women’s Six Nations.
Since then, the winger has gone on to pick up 12 caps and scored three tries along the way.
In South Africa, Scotland will play three teams in the six-team competition, with matches being played in a cross-pool format.
First for Scotland, on September 28 at DHL Stadium, is Italy.
Easson’s team will then move on to face Japan on October 5, finishing with a final match against Australia on October 12, with both games set to take place at Athlone Stadium.
The competition also sees the final six Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 places on the line.
