CUP progression and three points are the aim for East Lothian’s football teams this afternoon (Saturday).

Only Musselburgh Athletic are away from home out of the county sides in the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL).

In the Premier Division, Liam Burns and his side look to continue their impressive start to the campaign when they travel to Dunipace.

Meanwhile, Haddington Athletic are also looking to make it three wins out of three when they host Jeanfield Swifts.

Dunbar United will look for their first win of the campaign when they host St Andrews United.

In the First Division, Preston Athletic face a tough tie against Camelon, who will be among the favourites for the title.

Finally, Ormiston Primrose look to cause an upset when they host Oakley United in the Alex Jack Cup.

Match of the Day

Haddington Athletic v Jeanfield Swifts

East of Scotland Football League Premier Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

TWO sides who are yet to taste defeat in the league this season meet at Millfield in the fourth round of fixtures.

Haddington have taken nine points out of nine and conceded just two goals as they sit joint top of the table with neighbours Musselburgh Athletic.

Meanwhile, a draw with Edinburgh University is the only blemish on Jeanfield Swifts’ record.

Victory for either side could be enough to put them top of the table depending on Musselburgh’s result.

Dunbar United v St Andrews United

East of Scotland Football League Premier Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

ONE point from the opening three games only tells part of the story for Dunbar United.

They have lost by the odd goal to both Glenrothes and Musselburgh Athletic.

Kevin Haynes will be hoping the fine margins fall in his side’s favour when they host St Andrews United.

The Fife side have lost both of their opening two fixtures and are yet to find the net in the Premier Division.

Preston Athletic v Camelon

East of Scotland Football League First Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

A REAL test awaits Preston Athletic as they take on a Camelon side fancied by many to be pushing for a top three finish.

An opening day defeat to Kinnoull was followed by victory over Thornton Hibs last time out for Preston.

Paul Currie and John Daly have recruited well during the close season and three points at home would be a real indication that they could be up the right end of the table come the end of the campaign.

Guy Kerr will be pleased with that as they look to challenge for an immediate return to the third tier.

Cup action takes priority this afternoon and they welcome Oakley United from the division above.

The visitors are yet to taste defeat in the league after two draws and a win in their opening three fixtures.
