HADDINGTON Athletic and Preston Athletic begin their quest for East of Scotland Qualifying Cup glory tonight (Tuesday).

The two sides are in second round cup action just days after the new season kicked off.

HADDINGTON Athletic will be out to cause a cup shock when they travel to Linlithgow Rose.

The East Lothian side enjoyed a 5-2 win over Glenrothes over the weekend, with Tom Davies continuing his fine goalscoring form of last season by netting a double.

Scott Bonar’s men played one division below Linlithgow Rose, who lost their opening fixture.

Berwick Rangers were 1-0 winners against the West Lothian outfit on Saturday and it looks like being a hard-fought game tonight.

OPPONENTS in the First Division last season, Preston Athletic and St Andrews United lock horns on cup duty.

The Pennypit side were edged out in a seven-goal thriller against Kinnoull at the weekend and will be looking to bounce back.

Meanwhile, their Fife opposition went down to defeat in the Premier Division having gained promotion at the end of last term.

Dunipace were 2-0 winners against St Andrews United on Saturday.
