IT IS the end of the league season for many of the football sides in the top tier of the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL).

Musselburgh Athletic and Haddington Athletic both wrap up their league campaigns with away trips.

The Honest Toun team head to Sauchie while Haddington venture to Dundonald Bluebell.

Dunbar United, who have a game in hand, are also away from home and head to Kinnoull.

In the First Division, Preston Athletic will be looking to maintain their good form when they host Whitehill Welfare.

Finally, in the Second Division, Ormiston Primrose host Newburgh Juniors.

Ormiston Primrose v Newburgh Juniors

East of Scotland Football League Second Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

A WIN may not be enough to preserve Ormiston Primrose’s Second Division status this afternoon (Saturday).

The county side face already relegated Newburgh at New Recreation Park knowing that they need all three points.

However, if Tweedmouth Rangers avoid defeat against Kennoway Star Hearts then Ormiston will be playing Third Division football next season.

Richie Weir’s men were 4-0 winners at East Shore Park in February and will be hoping for another positive result.

A TOP half finish will be secured for Haddington Athletic if they defeat Dundonald Bluebell.

The two clubs occupy eighth and ninth spots in the top flight of the EoSFL.

The two sides could not be separated at Millfield when they shared four goals.

Haddington have a League Cup quarter-final with Crossgates Primrose to look forward to next weekend but will be hoping to finish the league season in style.

Kinnoull v Dunbar United

East of Scotland Football League Premier Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

RELEGATED Kinnoull will attempt to sign off the season with a win when they host Dunbar United.

The Perthshire side have won just three of their 29 league contests over the course of the season.

In contrast, Dunbar have bounced back well from East of Scotland (Qualifying) Cup final disappointment.

The Seasiders could yet finish the season as high as third.

Kick-off 2.30pm

OFFICIALLY runners-up to Broxburn Athletic, Musselburgh have enjoyed an impressive campaign.

Liam Burns and his team travel to a Sauchie Juniors side who many fancied to be challenging for the title.

Instead, their inconsistency proved their undoing as they have won 16 and lost 10 of their league games.

Musselburgh won 2-1 in March and will be looking to finish the season with another three points.

East of Scotland Football League First Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

AN IMPRESSIVE run of form has pushed Preston Athletic up the EoSFL First Division table in recent weeks.

Victories over Vale of Leithen, Camelon and Oakley United mean they sit seventh in the standings.

Hot on their heels are Whitehill Welfare, who are two places and two points adrift of them.

The spoils were shared in Midlothian and another tight contest could be on the cards at the Pennypit.
