THREE East Lothian teams are in action over tonight (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday).
Dunbar United are looking for three points in the top flight of the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) while Preston Athletic will look to spring a surprise in the second round of the League Cup tonight.
Meanwhile, tomorrow, Ormiston Primrose will be aiming for a second away win in a matter of days when they travel to Peebles Rovers.
Tuesday
Dunbar United v Broxburn Athletic
East of Scotland Football League Premier Division
Kick-off 7.30pm
SIDELINED on Saturday, Dunbar United get back to action when they host league leaders Broxburn Athletic.
The West Lothian side dropped points in drawing with Hill of Beath Hawthorn but still extended their lead at the top as Musselburgh Athletic lost out.
Dunbar sit fifth in the standings and would leapfrog Jeanfield Swifts with a victory at New Countess Park.
The Seasiders were 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture in October and will be out to make it a double.
Preston Athletic v Kinnoull
League Cup – Second Round
Kick-off 7.45pm
BOTTOM of the Premier Division table Kinnoull pulled off the shock result of the weekend when they defeated promotion-chasing Musselburgh Athletic.
It is likely to count for little in their bid to avoid relegation to the First Division but will give them a much needed confidence boost.
Preston Athletic, meanwhile, slipped to a 5-3 defeat at home to Arniston Rangers in the First Division.
The result means Preston sit 11th in the second tier of the East of Scotland Football League.
Wednesday
Peebles Rovers v Ormiston Primrose
East of Scotland Football League Second Division
Kick-off 6.45pm
A 3-1 WIN at Dalkeith Thistle has kept Ormiston Primrose’s survival hopes alive as they look for another three points in the Second Division.
Richie Weir’s men trail Tweedmouth Rangers by seven points but have five games in hand over their rivals.
Victory at Whitestone Park would be another massive step in the right direction for the county side.
Peebles lost out to Edinburgh South at the weekend and have tasted defeat on 12 occasions from 25 league encounters this campaign.
