ORMISTON Primrose, Tranent and Dunbar United are all in midweek football action.

The New Recreation Park side travel to Edinburgh United in the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) Second Division tonight (Tuesday).

Meanwhile, both Tranent and Dunbar United will be hoping their games beat the weather tomorrow (Wednesday).

The Belters, on the back of their victory in the Lowland League Cup final, welcome Albion Rovers to Foresters Park in the Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL).

Meanwhile, Dunbar head into the capital to take on Hutchison Vale on the search for three points in the top flight of the EoSFL.

Tuesday

Edinburgh United v Ormiston Primrose

East of Scotland Football League Second Division

Kick-off 6.30pm

A MUST-WIN clash for both sides as they attempt to avoid relegation to the bottom tier of the EoSFL.

The two sides had met in December but the game was abandoned due to the poor weather.

Victory for Ormiston would see them leapfrog their opponents and close the gap on Tweedmouth Rangers, who sit just outside the relegation zone, to seven points.

A win for the Capital club would put daylight between them and Richie Weir’s men, boosting their own bid to avoid the drop.

Tranent v Albion Rovers

Scottish Lowland Football League

Kick-off 7.45pm

NEWLY-CROWNED winners of the Lowland League Cup, Tranent will be looking to use that success to build momentum in the league.

Ian Little's men sit sixth in the table but can move above both Celtic B and Cumbernauld Colts with a victory.

Their visitors can also move up the table with a victory - leapfrogging both Stirling University and Linlithgow Rose - in their first season in tier four.

The two sides have met twice this campaign and shared a win each.

Hutchison Vale v Dunbar United

East of Scotland Football League Premier Division

Kick-off 7.45pm

SIXTH in the top flight of the EoSFL, Dunbar United could move into fifth spot if they pick up three points in Edinburgh.

The Seasiders have enjoyed an impressive return to the Premier Division and are almost certain to finish in the top half.

However, an impressive end to the campaign could push them towards the top three.

Third is where their hosts sit in the table – eight points ahead of Dunbar but having played four games more.

The reverse fixture, played midweek in August, saw Dunbar win 1-0.
