FOUR East Lothian athletes will represent their country at the Commonwealth Youth Games.
The international competition, which features competitors from 38 countries from across the world, gets under way in Trinidad and Tobago today (Friday).
Heidi Dawson, Stefan Krawiec, Corey Campbell and Joe Townshend have all been selected to represent Scotland at the competition.
Dawson, from Dirleton, is part of the country’s netball squad while Krawiec will represent Scotland in the swimming pool.
While Campbell will be on the athletics track in both the 1,500m and 3,000m and former Belhaven Hill pupil and Dunbar RFC youngster Townshend is part of the Scotland Rugby 7s team.

Dawson is part of a 10-woman netball squad, with each of the athletes aged between 15 and 18 years old.
Meanwhile, Krawiec will compete in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle, as well as 100m and 200m butterfly.
The East Lothian Swim Team (ELST) member will be joined at the event by county coach Jamie Ward.

Campbell, of Dunbar, is one of eight Scottish athletes travelling to the Caribbean.
A Scottish and British under-17 record holder, the teenager was a finalist over 1,500m at last year’s European Under-18 Championships.
In the last year, he has travelled to compete in Israel, Norway and America.
The event has helped launch the career of a number of successful Scottish athletes, including Lynsey Sharp, Eilish McColgan and Erin Wallace.
Competitors come from a range of countries from Belize and Botswana to Gibraltar and Seychelles.
