A COUNTY athlete has helped Scotland to a top-10 finish at an international event in France.
Ronnie Brown, from Team East Lothian, was part of the male squad making the trip to the World Mountain Running Association International Under-18 Mountain Cup.
The competition, which took place at Annecy, attracts teams from throughout Europe and even the USA and Mexico.
The 4.6-kilometre course featured a 250m climb and saw Brown joined in the team by Thomas Hilton and Rowan Taylor.
A well-timed sprint finish over the final 400m saw Brown pick off several runners and come home in 28th place, which helped Scotland to ninth overall.
