MARIA Lyle recorded two season’s bests as she took to the track in Italy over the weekend.
The Dunbar athlete was part of the British team taking part at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Jesolo, near Venice.
Lyle, who has cerebral palsy, took to the track in the 100m on Friday and recorded a time of 15.07 seconds.
On Sunday, she was back in action as she won the T35-38 200m in a time of 31 seconds.
The World Para Athletics Championships take place in Paris in July.
Former Dunbar Grammar School pupil Lyle finished first in both the T35 100m and 200m at the event in Dubai in 2019.
