A DERBY opens the new east of Scotland cricket season this weekend.
Dunbar and Bass Rock meet at Winterfield Park, in Division 4, on Saturday.
There is a busy card on opening weekend, featuring teams from Musselburgh, Haddington, North Berwick and Tranent and Prestonpans.
In East of Scotland Cricket Association Division One, Musselburgh face an away trip. They travel to Inverleith to face Stewart’s Melville 2.
Tranent and Preston Village are at home in Division Two and they welcome Carlton 3 to Meadowmill.
In Division Three, Haddington travel to Roseburn to face Murrayfield DAFS 2.
There are two county sides in Division Five this season.
Musselburgh 2 have home advantage when they welcome Murrayfield DAFS 3 to Lewisvale Park.
Tranent and Preston Village face a trip into the Capital to face Stewart’s Melville 3 at Inverleith.
The county side’s third team are also away from home and they venture to McKane Park to face Dunfermline and Carnegie 2.
Finally, Bass Rock 2 are in action on Sunday and they take on Watsonian 4 at Recreation Park.
