TWENTY-NINE swimmers from East Lothian Swim Team (ELST) ventured west on February 18-19 to compete in the Swim West Lothian IM Tough Meet at the Xcite Leisure Centre in Bathgate.
Some of the swimmers were competing for ELST for the very first time.
The team swam very well and achieved multiple personal bests, with the following swimmers winning medals in individual events across the two days: Ava Gray, Boyd Fearnside, Eilidh Fee, Lucy Hall, Lori Joyce, Roni Kariuki, Declan Kay, Morven Kenny, Cara Lai, Lewis Lothian, Carly Marshall, Meadow McCabe, Alex Prest, Imogen Turner, Liam Warner and Ross Winters.
Kenny, Marshall and Prest also achieved qualifying times for the upcoming Scottish National Age Group Championships.
Andrew Ward, ELST development squad coach, was delighted with all the swimmers’ efforts.
He said: “The team competed brilliantly, putting everything they do in training into practice.
“The team also showed great camaraderie, cheering on their team-mates in every race.
“I was very proud of them.”
