EAST Lothian Swim Team (ELST) were in action and brought back some early Christmas presents after competing in Scottish Swimming’s National League Finals at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow.
The annual ‘league’ competition took place over the weekend, with more than 80 swim teams competing from across Scotland.
The competition consists of two rounds of qualification, with the top 40 teams qualifying to compete on finals day.
ELST qualified in the top 10 and thus competed in Division A.
The team took through 20 swimmers, who all competed in a range of sprint events and relays.
ELST had a fantastic meet, finishing fifth in their division behind some of the biggest swim programmes in the country.
Jamie Ward, ELST head coach, reflected on an outstanding team performance.
He said: “Finishing fifth in the National League Finals was the perfect end to our year and a great experience for all involved, and a testament to the strength of our pathway and links with our home clubs in the county.”
