A TRIO of East Lothian badminton players will step on the court at the Yonex Scottish National Badminton Championships this weekend.
Finlay Jack and Daniel Innes are both in contention for the men’s singles at the Bell’s Sports Centre in Perth.
Innes, of Tranent, will be looking to join North Berwick’s Jack in the main draw and will face either Daniel Johnson or Theo Johnston tomorrow (Friday) in qualifying.
Jack will face a qualifier in the opening round of the men’s singles.
Jack is also teaming up with Matthew Waring against Scott Mackenzie and Leo McMillan in the men’s doubles while Innes and Jordan Edgar will face Anthony and Michael McGuire.
Jack has also partnered up with Sophie Barrie in the mixed doubles, where they will take on Sam Hume and Sophie Ford.
Meanwhile, Basia Grondynska has been seeded number two in the women’s singles.
She will start her bid for the title against Iona Muir.
Grodynska, of Longniddry, will team up with Toni Woods in the women’s doubles and will face either Sophie Ford and Rachel Wedlock or Nuria Clowes and Eva Tremble.
