GARY Anderson continues his bid for a third PDC World Darts Championship tomorrow (Wednesday).

'The Flying Scotsman' faces off against Ian White in the third round of the competition at the Alexandra Palace.

‘The Flying Scotsman’ got off to a shaky start last Thursday evening against Adrian Lewis, who began in confident fashion by taking the first set.

However, Anderson came firing back in the battle of the two-time champions, claiming nine of the next 10 legs to send him through 3-1.

Fifty-one-year-old Anderson holds an enviable record of never having lost his first match at the World Championship.

The Musselburgh native will now face White, who defeated Chris Landman 3-1 on Saturday.

Anderson won his first world crown in 2015 with a memorable 7-6 triumph over darts legend Phil Taylor.

He then went on to retain his title the following year with a 7-5 win over Lewis.

Anderson has also reached three other finals – losing 7-5 to Lewis in 2011, 7-3 to Michael van Gerwen in 2017 and 7-3 to Gerwyn Price in last year’s final.
