STARS of the future took to the racetrack, with East Lothian’s talented youngsters coming out on top at the Raceland Karting Cadet Championships.
The competition, which involves teenage drivers, reached its final at the end of last year and saw Wallyford’s Dan Moncur take the top spot on the podium.
He was followed by Tranent driver Josh Golightly as the two came out ahead of their competitiors from across Edinburgh and Lothians in the competition.
Delighted Ross High pupil Josh, who is in S2, took his silverware into school to show off after the final.
Third place on the podium was taken by Connor Leishman, from Addiewell, West Lothian.
Organisers said: “All the drivers fought hard all year.
“A big thank you goes to all those involved for keeping the boys safe throughout the year.”
