A COUNTY racing ace will return to the Volkswagen Racing Cup this year.
Kieran Gordon, from Tranent, is set to race in the competition again next season, having impressed in his debut campaign.
The 20-year-old will race with JWBird Motorsport, piloting a Sirocco R.
Gordon (pictured) ended his maiden season with an impressive fourth-place finish. He said: “My aim for the 2017 season is to become the first-ever Scottish VW Racing Cup champion.”
Gordon made the switch to the JWBird Motorsport squad for the finale of the 2016 season, having spent the prior rounds with Team Hard Racing.
He added: “I would like to say a massive thank-you to my sponsors Millennium Motors, R.Reilly Service Centre, AVW Autocentre and Iain Wood Engineering.”
