PROMISING county bike racer Lewis Rollo is set to step into the National Superstock 1000 class this season, with help from Nick Morgan’s MSS Colchester Kawasaki outfit.
The young rider put in a host of impressive performances in the Superstock 600 last season, and finished fifth overall.
MSS Colchester Kawasaki have a long association with Kawasaki Motors UK, having ran their official British Superbike and Superstock machines for many years.
This season saw them develop the latest generation of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R with a presence in the British Superbike paddock, International Road Races and in national championships around the world.
Rollo joins a long line of riders helped through the ranks, most noticeably Danny Buchan, who dominated during the 2014 National Superstock series.
The 17-year-old is delighted to have signed up for an “amazing opportunity”.
He added: “It’s a super competitive class with some big names in there so it’s a big step up but I think we have the tools for it.
“The bike is capable of running at the front; it’s just a case of getting me used to it so we can push to the front and hopefully we’ll be looking for podiums by the end of the year.”
