Haddington head coach Rhodri Thomas has heralded his first season back at the club as a success, after finishing fourth in National League Division 3.
Thomas, a former Haddington captain, returned to the club after cutting his coaching teeth at North Berwick, where he spent three seasons alongside ex-team mate Quinton Caulfield, who has followed him back to Neilson Park.
The pair moved a year ago after the Reds endured a torrid season in 2014/15 and were relegated from National League Division 2 – the low point a 103-0 thrashing away to this year's champions Hamilton.
In his first season in charge, Welshman Thomas has turned around the club's fortunes, and guided them to a fourth-place finish, secured by a 27-24 victory over champions GHK on Saturday.
And Thomas is delighted with the progress made this season.
He told Courier Sport: "It has been a good season for us.
"We were in the promotion hunt right up until February, which kept us focussed and working hard."
He pointed to an away loss to Orkney as the end of their promotion hopes, but was also full of praise for the club's 2nd XV, who secured promotion from Reserve League East 2 this term.
Thomas added: "We lost a bit of momentum after losing in Orkney and our opportunity for promotion was lost.
"With the 2nds having had an excellent season and winning promotion, we have competition for places all over the pitch, and we've built a really strong squad ethos."
With the 15-a-side season now over, Thomas is already looking forward to the start of the next campaign, and another promotion push.
He added: "We've got an ambitious group of players who are keen for success in the Haddington jersey, so we're all looking forward to next season, and mounting another challenge for promotion to National Two."
The club will round off their action for the season as they take part in Musselburgh 7s on May 7.
