TICKETS for former MP Mhairi Black’s nationwide tour go on sale tomorrow (Friday).

The SNP politician sent shockwaves through the political world when she defeated now Lothian East MP Douglas Alexander for the Paisley and Renfrewshire South seat in May 2015. Mr Alexander was the Shadow Foreign Secretary at the time.

At that time, she became the youngest person ever elected to the House of Commons at the age of 20 and went on to make waves both in the SNP and on the wider political scene.

She held the seat for nine years before choosing not to seek re-election earlier this year.

Following on from a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Politics Isn’t For Me promises a behind-the-scenes look from someone who spent almost a decade at the heartbeat of UK politics.

The tour will see her stop off at Haddington’s Corn Exchange on May 15.

Tickets go on sale at 10am and, for more information, go to gildedballoon.co.uk/mhairiblack
