A MAN who sent threatening emails that he would "terrorise" a police station and "get revenge" has failed to turn up to court for sentencing.

Jordan Davidson admitted sending two grossly offensive messages to the Professional Standards Department of Police Scotland after claiming that he had received bad service.

Davidson, 33, wrote statements including “still no f***ing call” and called officers “a bunch of f***ing bullies” in an email message.

He added: “Next step is I’m going to terrorise Musselburgh Police Station. I’m going to bully them officers.

“I’ll follow them home and make them alarmed at their own homes and see how it feels.

“If you think I’m joking, this is no joke. Youse have started something, not me. I will have the last laugh that’s for sure.”

Edinburgh Sheriff Court was told that Davidson sent a second message minutes later on March 24 stating: “Because of you and your behaviour I have armed myself in my house.

“Youse let it get to this point, not me. I’m not going to stop till I get my revenge. Think it’s funny? I’ll show you what’s funny.”

Davidson, of Park Road, Ormiston, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in October and was due back in the dock for sentencing last week.

But when the case called, Davidson was not in attendance and Sheriff Fife issued a non-appearance warrant for his arrest.

Sheriff Fife had previously warned Davidson that “all options are open to the court”.

Davidson pleaded guilty to sending emails to the Professional Standards Department of Police Scotland that were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character, and repeatedly uttering threats of violence at his home on March 24.
