NINE jackets were stolen from FatFace in North Berwick on Monday, as thieves were seen running out of the store holding the items.
On Monday afternoon, a man and a woman entered the premises at 73 High Street, leaving with the jackets and their hangers without paying for them.
The pair were then seen leaving the area in a car.
The store confirmed the theft to the Courier; FatFace's head office has been contacted for comment.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.10am on Tuesday, we received a report of a theft from a premises on High Street, North Berwick, that happened the day before.
“Enquiries are at an early stage.”
