FESTVITIES are taking place in Elphinstone on Friday as the village hosts its annual Christmas lights switch-on event.
Everyone is invited to meet at Main Street for carol singing at 5.30pm.
The singing will be followed by the Christmas tree lights being turned on at 6pm.
Hot chocolate and mince pies will also be available to enjoy while watching a performance from the school's brass band.
Elphinstone Miners Club will also be open following the event.
Lights have already been installed throughout Elphinstone and Tranent by Ronnie Brown and Callum Innes, who collaborated to fund and erect the festive displays this year.
