A 14-YEAR-OLD has been charged in connection with vandalism thought to have caused about £2,000 worth of damage.
Police highlighted a teenage boy had been charged in connection with the alleged incidents in Tranent.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers received reports of walls and street furniture in the area being spray painted on Friday, November 15, and Saturday, November 16.
“The male will be reported to the relevant agencies and enquiries are ongoing.
“The cost to repair the damage is in the region of £2,000 and we are asking for help to trace others who may have been involved.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference 1213 of November 17, 2024.”
