A 59-year-old man has been charged by police following an incident involving a lorry at a rail bridge yesterday.
A section of Newcraighall Road, next to Newcraighall Park & Ride, was closed yesterday afternoon after a lorry appeared to get stuck under a rail bridge.
Rail services to and from Edinburgh and Tweedbank, and Edinburgh and East Lothian were cancelled to allow bridge inspection work to take place. The rail bridge was later declared safe.
