ALCOHOL was stolen from a shop by youths as young as 12, a community councillor told a meeting.
Discussions regarding anti-social behaviour on Dunbar High Street took place at a meeting of the town’s community council.
Stuart Cameron, a member of the group, works in the town's Co-op store and highlighted an incident of shoplifting.
He said: “In our store, we have had quite a hard time of it with youngsters.
“We had one 13-year-old jump the counter for a litre bottle of Smirnoff and his accomplice was a 12-year-old.”
Police were invited into the store to view CCTV footage and were able to identify those responsible.
He added: “Anti-social behaviour is still on the agenda but it seems to be 12-15-year-olds.”
The Dunbar and East Linton ward’s community and police partnership (CAPP) meeting takes place on December 12.
