TRANENT will be bathed in a festive glow on Sunday when the town's Christmas tree lights are switched on.
Lights have already been installed throughout Tranent and Elphinstone by Ronnie Brown and Callum Innes, who took over the project this year.
Owners of R M Brown Demolitions and Callum Innes Electrical, the two local businessmen have collaborated to fund and erect the festive displays.

The lights on the Christmas tree will be switched on during Sunday's event, taking place between 5pm and 6pm, by Layton Rankin, a pupil from The Hub at Sanderson’s Wynd.
There will be carol singing by Clark Community Choir, as well as music from Pulse of the Place, a youth samba band which performed at the London Paralympics in 2012.
Santa will also be dropping by and handing out chocolate coins, and Tranent Gala will announce its 2025 court during the event.
A road closure will be in place at Winton Place, from its junction with Church Street to its junction with High Street.
Parking on Winton Place is also suspended in its entirety.
The restrictions are in place between 4.30pm and 6pm.
Robert McNeill, chairman of Tranent and Elphinstone Community Council, gave his thanks to Mr Brown and Mr Innes for their generosity.
He also extended a thank you to the choir and band for helping to bring festive cheer to Tranent.
Mr McNeill added: "We're just hoping for a good turnout."
