A NUMBER of Christmas events are taking place in Cockenzie and Port Seton this weekend and next.
There will not be a Christmas tree or lights display outside the Port Seton Centre this year, but this will be replaced by a Christmas market between 11am and 3pm on Saturday.
On Sunday, the lights will be switched on at the Christmas tree at Port Seton Harbour at 5pm by Cockenzie and Port Seton Community Council.
Pipe Major Rod Paton & Friend and a sing-a-long with the Thorntree Players will keep attendees entertained.
A Christmas lights switch-on will also be hosted at Cockenzie House and Gardens, where attendees will be able to enjoy stalls, food vendors, along with fun for all the family from 1pm to 8pm next Saturday (December 7).

The switch-on takes place at 5pm.
There is free entry but a donation is recommended to help maintain the gardens and house for the community.
The event starts at 1pm with market stalls and circus entertainers.
From 3pm, face painting, a bouncy castle, balloon shaping and a caricaturist will be available.
At 4.30pm, Cockenzie & Port Seton Community Choir will perform to attendees.
Marietta di Ciacca, trustee, said: "Cockenzie House and Gardens are delighted to host the town's Christmas extravaganza on December 7.
"There will be Christmas stalls, the community choir, music and much more for everyone to enjoy."
