WORK on North Berwick High Street, carried out by SP Energy Networks, is expected to be finished by the "end of the month".
On Monday, work began at the east end of High Street, outside number 38, to upgrade the local grid's supply.
A sign can be seen on the junction of Quality Street and High Street, stating that the road will be closed from November 18 for five days.

A description on the Scottish Road Works Commissioners website reads: "Excavation on footpath for installation of new three-phase service."
A spokesperson for SP Energy Networks said: “We’re investing in and upgrading the network to reinforce the local supply, ensuring its continued resilience and security.
"It’s part of essential work we’re undertaking to bring more electricity on to the local grid, allowing customers to switch to low-carbon technologies like EV chargers and solar panels.
“We are working swiftly to minimise disruption and work should be complete by the end of the month.
"We thank local people for their patience whilst we make these important upgrades.”
