DEMOLITION work has been carried out on a “structurally unsound” building in a supermarket car park.
Tesco was given the go-ahead by East Lothian Council at the beginning of September to bring down the old storage buildings outside its Haddington supermarket.
The building, which was not in use and did "not contribute positively to the character or appearance of the conservation area”, was demolished last week.

The supermarket had told the local authority that it planned to bring in a licensed demolition contractor to carry out the work.
No objections to the demolition were received by the council. The area will now be used for four additional car parking spaces.
