A COUNTY man has appeared in court after he was caught stealing goods from a supermarket on two occasions.
William Wallace took a quantity of alcohol from the shelves without paying at the Co-op store on Hopetoun Drive, Haddington, on September 23 last year.
Wallace, of the town's Hawthornbank Road, returned to the same store on October 1 and again walked off with a quantity of alcohol.
He was later identified, and arrested and charged with the offences.
The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to the two theft charges when he appeared in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday.
Sentence was deferred to later this month.
