A BUSINESS owner has been fined and ordered to stay away from his former partner following a domestic abuse incident.
Paul Demarco assaulted his ex-partner by repeatedly pushing her, causing her to fall to the ground, at the Gleam Machine car wash and valet premises on Spott Road, Dunbar.
Demarco, 36, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Monday, where he pleaded guilty to the offence, which took place on August 21, and was fined £520.
Demarco, of McNeill Walk, Tranent, was also issued with a non-harassment order meaning he cannot approach or contact the woman for the next 12 months.
