BEN Muncaster will make his Scotland debut on Saturday against Portugal.
The Edinburgh Rugby star has been named in the starting line-up for the first time as his country looks to bounce back from defeat to South Africa.
Muncaster, of North Berwick, is one of two uncapped players in Gregor Townsend’s starting XV.
He is joined by Alex Samuel, who plays his club rugby for Glasgow Warriors.
There is no place in the matchday squad for either Musselburgh-born Huw Jones or Rory Darge, of Aberlady.
The match at Scottish Gas Murrayfield kicks off at 3.10pm and is screened live on TNT Sports.
The two countries met at the Rugby World Cup in 2007, when Scotland came out on top 56-10.
