A NEW running club for women has been set up in Musselburgh.
The Happy Feet Running Club is aimed at beginners and is led by local health and fitness coach Rachel Butters.
The club meets twice a week at Musselburgh Links and is open to all women who want to improve their fitness.
The club is described as "relaxed, welcoming and inclusive", with the first session free as a taster.
Each session includes a warm-up, a fun activity and some running.
This structure is designed to help participants gradually increase their endurance without feeling pressured.
Rachel said: "I started this club to help women, especially busy mums, carve out a time for themselves, improve their health and find a community of like-minded women.
"I want exercise to be accessible to everyone and it has such a positive effect on mental health.
"I also wanted to create a nurturing space where everyone can feel supported and enjoy moving without fear of judgment."
The club has already attracted participants who have the opportunity to be active, get outdoors and connect with other women in the area.
The club is open to anyone interested in joining, with potential members encouraged to attend a Saturday session or reach out to the Happy Feet Running Club Musselburgh on Facebook.
