A TRADESMAN turned off the water supply for six homes following a disagreement over payment for work.
James Hogg believed he was due remuneration for work carried out at an address on Delta Road in Musselburgh.
But after being denied the payment, the 34-year-old decided to turn off the water supply to six properties on the street on three occasions between February 21 and 25.
Police were alerted to the situation and Hogg, of Somerset Fields, Musselburgh, was arrested and charged.
He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty to the offence of maliciously turning off the water supply to the homes.
Hogg was fined £640.
