ATTEMPTS to make Dunbar town centre “an improved destination” will be outlined at an event on Saturday.
Dunbar Community Council and Dunbar Trades’ Association have teamed up to host the drop-in session, which looks at how the town centre can be developed.
A spokesperson for the event encouraged people to head to Dunbar Town House between 10am and 4pm.
They said: “Feedback from our recent Local Place Plan proposed the town centre be developed and improved.
“Local organisations have been discussing what we could do to make our beautiful and historic town centre an improved destination.
“We would like to create an attractive community hub, with the Town House as a focal point where local people, as well as visitors, would spend time and also use it as a starting point to link with local attractions.”
Plans are also being drawn up to create a new group which would represent the interests of owners, tenants and residents on and around Dunbar High Street.
There will also be an opportunity to learn more about voluntary groups, such as Dunbar in Bloom, and how people can get involved.
