TWO county men who stood trial accused of making threats of violence towards a man during an incident at North Berwick Harbour have been fined.
Edward Ingle, of the town's Eastfield Road, and Allan Hales, of Wingate Crescent, Dunbar, denied the allegation and stood trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last month.
But following the evidence, Sheriff Julius Komorowski found both guilty of an amended charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, acting aggressively and uttering threats of violence towards Samuel Lowe.
The offence took place at the harbour on July 3 last year.
Ingle, 56, was fined £480 and issued with a 12-month non-harassment order banning him from having any contact with the man.
Hales, 40, was told he must pay a fine of £120 for his part in the incident.
