NEGOTIATIONS are under way for the sale of a Dunbar care home.
Lammermuir House Care Home, on the town’s East Links Road, was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1986.
The facility is owned by Four Seasons Health Care Group but discussions are under way for Mansfield Care Group to take it over.
Currently, Edinburgh-based Mansfield Care Group has homes in Edinburgh, the Lothians, west of Scotland and the Scottish Borders.
It is also behind the care home which is currently under construction on Haddington’s western edge.
A spokesperson for Mansfield Care Group told the Courier: “We can confirm the sale of Lammermuir House Care Home will take place following final legal processes and regulatory approval from the Care Inspectorate.
“The wellbeing and comfort of all residents and the support of our teams is our priority at this time of change.
“We are working to ensure a smooth handover of the operations of the home and to make sure that continuity of care is maintained for all residents.”
