RESIDENTS in Tranent, Macmerry and Pencaitland are being invited to help improve local walking routes.
With events organised by Planning Aid Scotland, the community can suggest ideas for safer and easier walking.
These free sessions, open to everyone, offer a platform for sharing experiences related to walking to shops, schools or public transport, and any hurdles encountered.
The first event is next Friday (November 22) at the Connections Cafe, Carriage House, Pencaitland, from 10.30am to 2pm.
Macmerry residents can participate next Monday (November 25) at the Macmerry Miners Club, 5-7pm.
The Tranent meeting takes place next Wednesday (November 27) at Recharge Youth Centre, Dewar House, 3-5pm.
The organisers stressed the importance of community involvement in shaping plans for improved walking routes.
They encouraged everyone, including young people and children, to contribute their ideas.
A spokesperson said: "We want to make walking better for everyone and your ideas will help shape plans for safer, easier walks in your community."
