DOUBLE yellow lines have been suggested in a bid to solve parking problems around a busy junction in Haddington.
Councillor George McGuire described the situation on the town's Poldrate, near the Tyneside Tavern and the junction with Mill Wynd, as “chaos”.
The issue was flagged up at a meeting of Haddington and District Community Council last month.
The councillor, who represents the town on East Lothian Council, said: “I’m going to speak to the council to get double yellow lines.
“People are parking on the junction and nobody will walk anywhere.
“It is high time we started enforcing double yellow line parking and getting £100 for the council and educating some people.”
