County rugby fans, bound for Murrayfield, may face travel disruption on Scotrail services today (Sunday) due to a "shortage of train crew".

Thousands of spectators are expected to fill Scottish Gas Murrayfield in Edinburgh, for Scotland versus South Africa, but some might need to re-think their way there and back. 

Scotrail informed passengers this morning, via their alerting service, with inbound and outbound services affected.

Kick-off for Scotland taking on the world champions is set for 4.10pm. 

Scotrail has reported that the 11.20am, 1.23pm, 2.21pm, 4.18pm, 6.20pm and 9.21pm from North Berwick to Edinburgh Waverley will be cancelled. 

In addition, they have also reported that services from Edinburgh Waverley to North Berwick, including the 10.36am, 12.37pm, 1.35pm, 3.33pm, 5.38pm and 8.37pm will be cancelled. 

One alert from Scotrail reads: "Disruption has been reported to services between North Berwick and Edinburgh.

"The following services will be cancelled: The 11:20, 13:23, 14:21, 16:18, 18:20 and 21:21 due to a shortage of train crew". 

With another reading: "Disruption has been reported to services between Edinburgh and North Berwick.

"The following services will be cancelled: The 10:36, 12:37, 13:35, 15:33, 17:38 and 20:37 due to a shortage of train crew".
