AN 81-YEAR-OLD woman was taken to hospital by ambulance following a car crash, just outside East Lothian yesterday.
Police Scotland were alerted to a two-car crash at about 5.25pm at a junction on the A6093 at Fordel Dean Bridge in Midlothian.
Following the incident, the A68 and B6367 roads leading to the county were closed for several hours.

Emergency services attended the scene, with the woman taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Police Scotland reopened the closed road at 9.20pm on Thursday evening; enquiries are still ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 5.25pm on Thursday, November 7, to a report of a two-car crash at a junction on the A6093 at Fordel Dean Bridge in Midlothian.
“Emergency services attended and an 81-year-old woman, a passenger in one of the cars, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
“The road was closed and reopened around 9.20pm.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
