FEARS have been raised that people could be injured as golf balls are being struck in an expanding Dunbar housing estate.
The issue was flagged up to Dunbar Community Council through a message via social media.
Kevin Searle, a member of the group, confirmed that the group had received a Facebook message highlighting the issue on a section of land near the SUDS pond off Yosemite Park and Alexander Gardens.
He told the Courier: “It’s not the right place to play golf.
“It’s a dangerous situation.
“They could injure people, they could hit cars, houses or whatever.”
Mr Searle advised residents to report the issue to police so that they had a record of any anti-social behaviour.
The matter was also recorded in the minutes from the community council meeting.
