A NORTH Berwick man has been admonished after being of good behaviour following an assault on a child.
Paul Redpath struck the child to the head during an incident said to have occurred at an address in Edinburgh between April 9, 2016, and April 9, 2017.
Redpath, of Phillimore Square, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in August last year and, following a further hearing in November, sentence was deferred for him to stay out of trouble.
The 34-year-old was back in the dock last week, where Sheriff Wendy Sheehan was told that he had not come to the attention of the police in any way since and she said she was content to admonish him on the charge.
