LIVE music, dancing, children’s rides and, of course, a visit from a Christmas VIP will herald the start of the festive season in Dunbar.
The town’s Christmas lights were put up over the weekend ahead of the big switch-on event on November 24.
Volunteers from the town’s Christmas lights team were given a helping hand from the town’s fire service and RNLI, as well as a number of other helpers.
Now, the countdown is on to an afternoon of fun, which gets under way at 2pm, with the switch-on taking place at about 6pm.
A spokesperson for Dunbar Christmas Lights said: “A full afternoon of entertainment awaits you with live bands, DJ, youth dance, ceilidh dancing, choir, and brass and pipe bands.
“Lots of fun stuff too for the younger visitor with Gladys Chucklebutty, children’s rides and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus!
“There will also be a variety of craft stalls with handmade gifts to buy that unique Christmas gift.
“A truly magical day for all the family!
