A FESTIVE feeling will surround Haddington when the town’s Christmas lights are switched on later this month.
Preparations are well under way ahead of the big switch-on at 5.30pm on November 24.
Councillor George McGuire heads up Haddington Events Group, which is busy planning for the festive fun.
He said that notices would be put up to highlight the event, adding: “There will be panto characters coming to switch on the lights.
“There will be the usual – Santa and carol singers will be there.
“From 6.30pm to 8.30pm, there will be a free ceilidh in the Corn Exchange.”
